    SOUL CAGES (2024)

    The spiritual successor of the 2012 cult-classic 'Soul Cages', the new film is an experience that the viewer will find hard to forget. The film depicts a genre defying story that is ferocious in its intensity and yet will move the audiences to tears. Savitha Sastry, who was accorded the epithet of "the renaissance architect of Bharatanatyam" (after her eponymous stage production from 2012), has outdone even her electrifying earlier performance. Abhay Nayampally in his eight collaboration with Savitha and Srikanth creates an epic score that elevates the experience. For writer and director AK Srikanth, 'Soul Cages' would be defined as a seminal work by posterity.

    An exquisite portrait of life in a small seaside town, "The Ghost of the Lighthouse" is a touching tribute to everyday people, their dreams, and their aspirations. The renowned danseuse Savitha Sastry plays a role that is perhaps amongst the best etched out characters she has ever played. Writer and Director AK Srikanth has created a work that is starkly poignant and breathtakingly beautiful all at once. Actor Jamie Alter delivers a finely nuanced performance in a role he has never portrayed before.

    SLOW RIVERS (2023)

    A magnum opus that tells the story of the relationship between an artist and her art, 'Slow Rivers' is a mind-bender that paints it's canvas through the real, the metaphysical, and the delusional. Choreographed and performed by Savitha Sastry, 'SLOW RIVERS' portrays amongst the most intricate, technical, and intense Bharatanatyam performances ever filmed. Writer and Director AK Srikanth is at home in this genre bringing together two stalwarts in the same frame in all it's glory. Abhay Nayampally's score depicts the gravitas like never before. And of course the thespian from Bollywood, Ashish Vidyarthi delivers a performance that brings back memories of his debut film 'Droh-Kaal'.
